Desk Organizer
Problem
Teachers want an organized desk. We had to come up with simple fun ways to do it.
Constraints
1. Must not attach to the desk.
2. May not have a footprint that exceeds 6” depth x12”
width x 10 height.
3. Must include a recessed area, a bent plastic part and
have a base ¾” thick.
4. Must have a minimum of five different parts once
assembled.
5. Must hold a minimum of six items.

Brainstorms
To start the thinking process up we thought about many different things before we came up with the one we wanted to make. These are most of the drawings me and my partner Keffrey came up with. These drawings are the final ones we came up with that follow the constraints.
Shelf Part 1
Final Drawing Sheets
After my partner and I had finished making the parts on Inventor it was time to make drawing sheets out of them. Below are the descriptions of each of the parts and a picture of the final piece.
BaseWe thought hard about the base of the project. At first we didnt know where to put the parts and how many to add on but this is what we came up with. We decided to separate the phone and beverage holder just in case of accidents.

DrawerOn the drawer we decided to make it nice and simple by making it only 2.8in long by 2.8in wide with a miniature door handle on it.
|
Shelf Part 1There wasnt much to this one but to make it big and wide enough to support the top part. We added finishing touches of the fillet tool to make it look nice.
|
Shelf Part 2This is the part that goes on top of the first part. This was designed to keep things seperated from the base part of the organizer for example checks, papers, cards, etc. We also added fillet tool to make it look nice.

Pencil Holder
And the last part of course the pencil holder. We added this to the side of the base to keep pencils, pens, and markers. This part was a tricky one to make because of the many different tools we had to use.
Conclusion
Being probably one of the hardest projects, this was a difficult but fun one. I've found out that I can make an organizer for a teacher. Me and my partner Keffrey struggled on some parts but managed to finish the whole thing on time. I believe that the teacher we chose will love the idea of ours.
